The Lewis Mill - S Scale Kit #4143

The kit is composed of a laser cut MDF core overlaid with laser cut siding and individual strip wood siding plus our own laser cut windows and doors.. The kit is based on the actual Lewis Mill located above Telluride, Colorado at about 12,450ft... It was built in the late 1800's and still stands today in preserved condition. More information can be found from the Ouray County Historical Society. There are a ton of photos available online too, just do a google search.

Our version of the Mill has a few changes in the siding and the dock area. The original mill did not have railroad access so I have made a slight change to the dock for freight cars and I have changed the lower heavy timber foundation a bit to better fit our model. The original mill was covered in wood with a tar-paper roof, this is what our model depicts...Later in life the mill had corrugated siding above the heavy timber base and corrugated metal roof.. S scale is 11 1/2" wide, 13" deep x 16" tall, the water tank is included but not in the footprint dimensions, it sits behind the mill....     

A few S kits are in stock but with all of our S scale offerings it can take a few weeks to get them cut and boxed as I make them up as I get your order.....
